13 What to Do in Baltimore this Weekend

The past weekend saw the return of Light City Baltimore, a self-proclaimed “free festival of light, music & innovation,” as well as the beginning of Baltimore Food Truck Week. For the former, assorted light art installations are on show. Most of the pieces are interactive, like see-saws that light and emit musical notes when the ends rise and fall. This makes the event fun for adults and kids alike. The festival continues next weekend with a procession of musical performances and a parade.

Baltimore Food Truck Week is a delicious sampling of international flavor with some classic Baltimore twists. For example, food truck cuisines include Cajun, French, Mexican, and Ethiopian– but you’ll find crab or something else to sprinkle with Old Bay at practically every one of them! Don’t worry if you missed it; both events are annual and will be back next year!
